STRIVE<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is looking for a driven, versatile and innovative engineer to help create and carry forward new products.\u00a0 You would work as part of a small, fast-moving team building products on the leading edge of wearable technology.<br \/><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work with a small team to improve existing products and develop new wearables<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design, build, and validate novel form-factor prototypes and then progress them into production<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Test and measure performance of prototype designs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Produce test reports to show design improvements to stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Establish and refine product design process, best practices, and\/or tools for the organization<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evaluate, develop, and select new materials, processes, technologies, and techniques<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interface with vendors and manufacturers to find solutions, as well as produce prototypes and final products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create processes and documentation for handing off between the engineering and operations\/production team<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other duties as required<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><br \/>Required Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum 4 plus years of experience in mechanical design and product development<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in 3D CAD &#8211; Fusion 360 (preferred), Solidworks, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good understanding and use of principals, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering and product development<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentations) and problem solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to envision, design, assemble and test prototypes and fixtures<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work in a cross functional and dynamic environment with aggressive timelines and rapidly evolving requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with design and development of consumer electronics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with various prototyping and manufacturing techniques (laser cutting, machining, 3D printing, injection molding, casting, soft goods etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience in failure analysis (both hands-on and analyzing data)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hands-on use of standard shop tools (hand tools, grinders, dremels, drills, etc)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><br \/>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with biometric sensors<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience designing or working with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wearable devices and soft goods<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design experience with injection molded parts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with electromechanical systems\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hands-on use of laser cutters, 3d printers and CNC machining<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hands-on soldering experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Active involvement in sports, working out or outdoor activities<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>Must be local to the Seattle Metro area and available to work at Strive HQ in Bothell as needed. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strive Tech is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
