FIRMWARE ENGINEER

FULL-TIME  |  SEATTLE, WA

Strive is looking for STRIVE is looking for a firmware engineer to further develop our wearable products. You will join a team dedicated to making high performance wearables for athletes everywhere.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive new features delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration
  • Develop signal processing algorithms
  • Work with our software team to ensure fast and reliable communication over Bluetooth Low Energy
  • Write and maintain an automated test suite
  • Participate in code reviews that uphold the principles of clean code and architecture
  • Contribute and lead active engineering design sessions with evidence and experience-based insights


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of firmware development experience in embedded C
  • An understanding of how to efficiently use an RTOS
  • Ability to read schematics and electronics datasheets
  • Experience using dev kits to test new hardware and write drivers
  • Experience with signal processing tools such as MATLAB, R, or numPy
  • An understanding of development tools including git, gcc, docker and CI/CD pipelines
  • An understand of how to work with a team using Agile methodologies


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with BLE 
  • Experience with signal processing for accelerometers or bioimpedance signals
  • Experience with JavaScript and Python
  • Ability to make test circuitry and PCBs
