We are looking for a passionate and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team and lead the setup, expansion, and optimization of our manufacturing operations.

Job Description:

As the Assembly Operations Manager at Strive, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company. You will be responsible for establishing and enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, managing inventory, and building and leading a skilled team of manufacturing operators. This role requires a unique combination of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on execution. You will report directly to the COO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Setup and Optimization:
    • Establish, maintain, and optimize manufacturing processes for compression clothing with integrated surface EMG sensors.
    • Upgrade and maintain production equipment and tooling to meet quality and production targets.
    • Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, managing raw materials, and ensuring efficient production schedules.
    • Develop and implement inventory management policies to minimize waste and maintain adequate supply.
  • Team Leadership and Training:
    • Recruit, train, and lead a team of manufacturing operators, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure the team meets production goals and maintains quality standards.
  • Quality Control:
    • Implement and manage quality control measures to ensure the highest standard of product quality and consistency.
    • Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols and inspection processes.
  • Cost Management:
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize material costs, reduce waste, and control manufacturing expenses.
    • Track and report on manufacturing cost performance.
  • Safety Culture Promotion:
    • Champion and actively promote a strong safety culture within the manufacturing team.
    • Lead by example in prioritizing safety, emphasizing its significance in daily tasks.
    • Foster a workplace where every team member understands and embraces the importance of safety.

 

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of manufacturing/operations-related experience including three (3) years of direct supervisory experience in a similar environment (assembly operations).
  • Strong interpersonal/communication/leadership team skills.
  • Inventory/materials management and financial control experience.
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the clothing and wearables industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools, with a focus on textiles and wearables.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
